CONFERENCE

The first A Reason to S.M.I.L.E. conference will be held on the evening of Thursday the 4th of October and the day and evening of Friday the 5th of October.  This is the second week of the school holidays.

There is a limit of 500 women able to attend and this will be on a first in, first served basis.

COST
Freely we receive, so freely we give – this conference is free of charge to all attendees.

We do obviously have many costs and so have a sponsor-a-woman for $60 each promotion to help with these. For more information about sponsoring a woman check out our ‘Sponsorship’ page or email us at sponsorship@areasontosmile.org.nz.

SPEAKERS BOOKED

• Teuila Blakely - a single mother and actress from Sione’s Wedding.
• Cindy Gibbons – who was a single mother who had to overcome many difficulties and is the creator of Precious Vessels, a clothing store for the significant woman and has written a book called ‘Breaking the Cycle’.
• John Cowan – from the NZ organisation Parents Inc, that encourages and gives great tips to parents for raising great kids.

ENTERTAINMENT BOOKED

• Nik Carlson – who was runner up in NZ Idol Series 2.

VENUE
We are hoping to have the first conference at Kelston Boys’ High School in Kelston, Auckland. This is TBC and we will update as we know more.
